Brief

A full transformation for ZenTea’s brand assets from the logo—which was the only creative asset available at the beginning of the project—to a library complete with typography, color palette, authentic photographs, packaging design templates, menus, business cards, flyers, and promotional postcards.

A concise and easy to read menu was imperative for ZenTea, a tea bar serving over 200 different types of loose leaf tea. Utilizing character and paragraph styles in InDesign set up staff to easily edit lengthy menus in the future.

With the goal of keeping this dense amount of information easily skimmable, Hilary incorporated color bars denoting types of tea, such as black or green tea. An eagle-eye for detail, nothing is out of place in this final piece.

Additional print design work included tea packaging labels and flyers advertising wholesale opportunities to local businesses.

Photography assignments included capturing images of the tea itself, which proved to be one of the more challenging (and exciting) projects Hilary worked on. The success of these images hinged on getting just the right light, the perfect focus and making sure the color balance was spot on.

Hilary also styled and shot a series of editorial photos to be used online and in print to promote high tea at ZenTea. Captured using ZenTea’s very own dishes, table settings and fare, these images helped deliver a more authentic visual identity.
